1980 cb750k DOHC Bobber

by Dave
(MISSOURI USA)

I have ridden bikes since I got my first one at 9 years old. It was a Bronco mini bike with a 5 hp pull string start. I was hooked !! From there I rode any thing with two wheels. In my twenties I got my first chopper. It was Honda 450 painted purple. Yep that was in the 80,s.

I started a family and had 3 sons so my riding time was cut down to almost nothing but now that they are all grown men {I am 51 years old now}I have started back on my road to being a cool dude again. I bought a 1980cb 750k Dohc stock and it did not take me long to bob it out.

I ended up sending it to G&L choppers in Colorado Springs for the biggest part of the job and once I got it home I re-jetted the carbs and had it dynoed along with putting a left side speedo on the front 21" Harley wheel.

This thing runs like a race horse and will stay in my collection a long time. I also have a couple Honda 550,s and a Honda VTX 1800 in the family. I have to say that with the money I have invested in this bike I could have bought a new one but whats the fun in that.

This bike has a re-shaped shadow tank and hand costumed side panels. G&L also did the paint, sissy bar, forward controls all in their garage.

Thanks for sending this well designed and built ride in Dave!
